Start the flat racing season at Great Yarmouth Racecourse on Saturday 10 April 2027. Our Season Opener brings live racing back to the Norfolk coast, with the excitement of the Grand National shown on the big screen too. Get your friends and family together and make an afternoon of it.
Feel the thunder of hooves as the horses race down the track, get close to the action and cheer on your favourites. Then turn your attention to the big screen for the Grand National, one of the most famous races in the world. Join the cheers as the runners tackle the fences and the drama unfolds.
Great Yarmouth has been welcoming racegoers for more than 300 years, with its first recorded racing dating back to 1715. Our summer season features 24 flat racing meetings, showcasing promising young horses and experienced jockeys. It's a great way to welcome the new season and enjoy a day out at your local racecourse.
Bring your friends, gather the family and enjoy the return of flat racing at Great Yarmouth Racecourse. With live sport on the track and the Grand National on the big screen, it's a lovely way to spend a spring afternoon by the Norfolk coast.
