Welsh National winning trainer, trained his first, and only winner to date, at the Cheltenham Festival, High Chimes, in 2008.Fresh from winning the Coral Welsh Grand National in January with Secret Reprieve, he's planning on sending grey gelding and Christmas Hurdle-winner, Silver Streak, for another shot in the Champion Hurdle, where he finished third in 2019 at a starting price of 80-1.
Skelton scored his first Cheltenham Festival winner in 2016, with his charge, Superb Story, winning the County Hurdle and his brother Harry in the saddle. In 2018, Skelton enjoyed more Festival success in the same race, this time with Mohaayed, who battled through the testing ground to secure victory.
In 2019, it was another County Hurdle win with Ch’Tibello whilst Roksana took the Mares Hurdle and she will be back at Cheltenham this year.
