The Lord Nelson Grandstand at Great Yarmouth Racecourse offers a picturesque and tranquil setting for your very special day, with a wonderful backdrop for photographic memories.
We also have several on site marquees with private lawns so you can make the most of the summer weather.
Your Wedding Reception
Choose to hold your wedding in either the Lord Nelson Grandstand or one of our marquees. Your wedding will include:

If you are looking for something a little different or are a racing enthusiast, why not incorporate your favourite sport into your special day? Weddings or parties held on a race day give the added value of allowing your guests to be entertained by an afternoon or evening of exciting racing. You might even get the opportunity to have a race named after you and to present awards to the Best Turned Out Horse and Winning Owner in the Parade Ring!
A Modern and Unique Venue for Civil Ceremonies
Great Yarmouth Racecourse can provide you with the perfect setting for any celebration.
Our Civil Ceremony Licence allows you to hold your Wedding on site in one of our modern suites. Choose between the Horatio, Victory or Trafalgar Suites, and we will provide you with the perfect setting for your special day.
We can also provide the perfect setting for Vow Renewals, Civil Partnership ceremonies and Baby Naming ceremonies.
Your Wedding Ceremony
Your Wedding Ceremony can be held in the Horatio, Victory or Trafalgar Suites and we provide:
- Interview room prior to the ceremony
- Ceremony Room
- Room floristry and decoration
- Unlimited use of the course for photographs
- Dressed seating for congregation
- Wedding Exclusivity
- Dedicated wedding co-ordinator prior to and during you day
- Free Parking
All above wedding prices include VAT.
Five steps to a memorable day!
- Visit our site to view the facilities and check that your chosen date is available.
- If you intend to hold your wedding ceremony at Great Yarmouth Racecourse, you will also need to contact an official at the registrar’s office at Norfolk County Council.
- If the bride and groom who intend to hold their wedding at Great Yarmouth Racecourse do not live within the town of Great Yarmouth, they must notify their local registry office of their intention to be married.
- Great Yarmouth Racecourse must receive written confirmation and a non refundable deposit within 21 days of confirming your wedding with us.
- Approximately six weeks prior to your wedding date a member of or organisation team will contact you to finalise the arrangements surrounding your day.
